What is Black Lives Matter?
Black Lives Matter (BLM) is a decentralized movement advocating for peaceful protest against incidents of police brutality and all racially motivated violence against Black people. Cami Co. Lace stands in solidarity with this movement.
History and Background:
Cami first designed this t-shirt to wear for a BLM mural painting in Decatur, GA. This event was approved by the Decatur City Commission and organized by City Commissioner Lesa Mayer. Lesa organized the artistic painting of 'Black Lives Matter' on North McDonough Street with 3 artists and over 500 (socially distanced) volunteers, including Cami! Cami was so moved by the artists and the cause, she decided to add an "Activism" portion to her design collections. This shirt is for all of the protesters, activists, advocates, and those who stand in solidarity who want to support this cause and feel the power of making a bold statement at the exact same time! And it doesn't stop there. Read below on how your purchase will help the Black community.
*Personalization*:
Cami has dedicated this design to not only be a part of fashion history making, but also to support and give back to the Black community! We've decided that with every sale of this item, we will donate 20% of proceeds to the cause of your choice! In the Personalization section, please write to which charity organization (that supports the Black community) you wish to donate.
Which organization should I donate to?

2) Breonna Taylor (https://justiceforbreonna.org/) via @1908stephanita
Breonna Taylor was an award-winning EMT and first responder in Lousiville, KY, who loved helping her patients and her community. On the night of March 13th, 2020 the Louisville Metro Police executed a warrant, looking for drugs they never found, reportedly trafficked by a person who did not live with Breonna or in her complex-and whom they already had in custody. They sprayed her home with 20 rounds, shooting Breonna 8 times, killing her in her bed. Neither the Louisville Metro Police nor Mayor Greg Fischer have given her mother any answers.

Ultimately, JBG is focused on equipping Black girls with tools not authorized by empowerment- focused on developing self help in the midst of structural degradation, but power- the agency to alter the systems that actively marginalize Black girlhood. Sizing and Fit
- Lace Up Tops -
All of our styles are men's sizing. We do still recommend you order your natural women’s size for the most comfortable, conservative fit. You can order one size down if you prefer a snug, more form fitting fit. Order one size up for a loose/ boyfriend fit. Order two sizes up for an oversized look to wear with biker shorts or leggings. If you prefer a mini-dress fit, see below:
Mini-Dress Fit: If you are interested in a mini-dress fit, we recommend you order 3 sizes up if you want it to cover your behind. We do still recommend you wear super short shorts so you can feel the most secure as you move around. If you are interested in an oversized fit, but plan to wear with biker shorts or leggings, then 2 sizes up will suffice. Please make sure you order full length instead of crop or longer crop. If you’re between sizes or need size help, email us at camicolaceusa @ gmail.com with your height, breast cup size, and natural women’s size in tops, and we can help guide you to your correct size.
- Half and Half Tops -
These are a modern fit! They begin as unisex sweatshirts, so men’s sizing. (These are made for both men and women). It is usually a classic sweatshirt fit, however we cut two sweaters in half and sew them back together, so you lose about 1” around the body. I would say it fits like a modern/European fit.
Women: I recommend ordering your natural women’s size for the most comfortable, conservative fit. Order one size down if you like your sweatshirts snug. Order one size up if you like a loose/boyfriend fit.
Men: Order your natural men’s size if you don’t mind a modern/European fit. Order one size up if you prefer a looser, more comfortable fit with more room.
- Crew Neck Tops -
It all depends on how you want it to fit. These are men's sizing. Please see the Cheat Sheet below that details what size you should order based on your fit preference.
Name your desired fit:
- Snug/feminine - Order 1 size down
- Comfortable/conservative - Order your natural women's size
- Loose/boyfriend - Order 1 size up
- Oversized (to wear with biker shorts or leggings) - Order 2 sizes up
*Crew neck styles are not offered in mini-dress length.
- "Crop" vs. "Longer Crop" -
“Crop” stops around the belly button.- Other Sizes -
